Sam pretends not to recognise her when she comes home.

Weekend

At last the weekend has come. It has been a long week. Sam’s family go to the swimming pool. They drive on the main road, turn left after the bridge and the pool is on the left hand side.

The children show their membership cards and change quickly in the changing room. Then, Sam stands on the edge of the pool. It looks cold to him but he soon plunges in. There is a big crowd of children who shout, scream and splash. Sam soon gets chlorine in his eyes, but it doesn’t stop him having fun.
